My husband and I stayed at this lovely 15th century villa in the charming town of Lucolena in the Chianti region of Italy. The villa is located on a hill situated among grapevines on a vineyard and Olive Trees. The villa has been well restored with the Rock facade and heavy wooden doors and Window interior shutters. We had a fire every evening and had rented the whole villa for a quiet Tuscan Holiday. The Kitchens were perfect and we had lovely breakfasts from the local Italian grocery stores. It would be perfect for 3 couple or a large family also. We plan to return in the fall with 2 other couples. Anna Maria was lovely and gave us a tour of the Winery Cellar, her brother and sister in law were friendly and charming and gave us a lovely can of the most wonderful Olive Oil that they produce on the vineyard. The property gave us a taste of what the Tuscan life is like and was centrally located to all the sights in Tuscany, most locations like Greve, San Gimanango and Florence within an easy 30 minute to hour drive. It was wonderful to come back every evening and relax. The internet was high speed and made our stay very convenient. We would definitely return! It was cool there in March so didnt use the pool, but enjoyed the lovely patios to sit outside and the green lawn with convenient chairs to view the Tuscan hills with the characteristic Italian Cypress trees. What a great place to unwind with some of the wonderful local Chianti wines!
